Recent Deal Roundup: September 2016

Records abound at Lighter Capital! I’m extremely proud to write that September was our biggest month ever and Q3 2016 was our biggest quarter ever. We finished the quarter with 30 deals totaling $8.7M—far and away our best ever! That’s an astounding number of entrepreneurs who now have more resources to grow their businesses—hiring sales people, investing in marketing, funding new features, etc. Truly an amazing impact!

Here’s a quick rundown on the some of the deals we closed in September.

First time clients

Nuvolo Technologies Corporation develops, implements and supports cloud-based applications built on ServiceNow, the world’s leading enterprise cloud computing/IT service management (“ITSM”) platform. As a pioneer in ServiceNow’s CreateNow application development, Nuvolo is the first partner globally to complete the ServiceNow Application Certification process.

quip is a B2C manufacturer and supplier of oral healthcare products. The company sells electric/manual tooth brushes, tooth brush handles, brush heads, and tooth paste through an online quarterly subscription plan.

Sellbrite, Inc. enables retailers to control inventory and orders across multiple online sales channels, such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Bigcommerce, and Etsy.

Speakr, Inc. offers an influencer marketing platform for brands and agencies that promote their products and services over social media channels like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. The Company partners top influencers in social media with the right message from brands to help scale and control “word-of-mouth” marketing.

Pronexis has as a full-service inbound/outbound marketing offering for consumer home services companies and franchises. The offering is centered around appointment booking for these businesses via call center services. It also includes SEO, Pay-per-click advertising, and business listing support. Additionally, the Company also has a SaaS offering that provides CRM catered to businesses that provide these consumer home services.

Pre-existing clients

Cellarstone, Inc. is a provider of sales commission and incentive compensation software and solutions, and is also offered on the Salesforce App Exchange. The Company provides a cloud-based offering for businesses to automate the commission process, helping to increase overall sales, improve the accuracy and timeliness of reports, and reduce costs and effort associated with managing the process. Cellarstone’s products reach customers through multiple tech channels, including QuickBooks, Sage Software, the Salesforce AppExchange, Sugar, Microsoft Dynamics, and Oracle.
